Nick Cannon Quits Radio Show
After a successful two years, Nick Cannon announced today that he will be stepping down from his nationally syndicated Top 40 radio show, ‘Cannon’s Countdown.’Since the show’s premiere on April 23, 2011, the Top 40 countdown show has been broadcasted by CBS Radio stations and syndicated nationally by Cumulus Media Networks every weekend. Featuring a mix of music and celebrity interviews, the show has been available in a four-hour version for CHR pop/rhythmic stations and a three-hour edition for urban stations.“I am extremely grateful to have had a broadcast home with CBS Radio. It has been an amazing experience working with the team these past few years,” says Nick Cannon. “I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from my on air duties in radio in order to have the time to dedicate to NCredible Entertainment and the various projects that I have on my plate in film, TV, retail and a new album. Its a battle for hip-hop and to knock-out all unworthy opponents, "sucker MCs." No new artist can touch the impeccable skill and talent the drives this hip-hop powerhouse and Lawd Its Gon Hurt is the voice of two real 22 year old New Orleanians. A$AP Rocky may try to imitate but these are the originals. Hands down, Tunnookie is the best new lyricist in hip hop. "I purposely draw inspiration from the world because as long as I'm in this world, I will have a voice," stated Tunnookie.
